If you have tried to activate Ngene using the Online Activation option in late November or December 2018, you will likely have encountered an error stating that there is no internet connectivity.

This problem now affects all versions of Ngene prior to the newly released 1.2.1, which can be downloaded from http://choice-metrics.com/download.html. There are some other bug fixes in this release also.

If you need to activate Ngene, then you must install version 1.2.1 (or later) first. If you already have an activated copy of Ngene, it is not essential (but recommended) that you update Ngene.

Manual activation continues to work for earlier versions, but it is not an efficient process and should be reserved for cases where there is a lack of internet connectivity on the computer to which Ngene is being installed.

Online activation can also fail if you do not have enough activations left against your license. If this is the case, email contact@choice-metrics.com with your license ID (provided at the time of purchase), and your license can be updated.
