Predictions from LCM results

Postby col54 » Mon Nov 04, 2019 9:49 pm

Hello,

I'm wondering whether anyone knows of any papers that have used the results from latent class modelling to make predictions of WTP/WTA for the wider population? I.e. doing some kind of regression to find factors that predict class membership, then if you know how these factors are distributed in your population, calculate the class membership probabilities and therefore WTA/WTP values for them? I'm interested to see what's been done before,

Thanks,
Lydia

I guess such a probability weighted WTP would make sense, but I am not an expert in model estimation. You may want to ask this question on a forum on model estimation instead of experimental design such as the online forums of Nlogit, Biogeme, or Apollo.
