Number of respondents in pilot phase

Postby nastay » Sun Mar 12, 2023 4:31 pm

Dear all,

I have designed an experiment with 6 blocks and sent it to some people as part of pilot study. As I remember the recommendation was to include about 100 respondents in pilot study. I wonder if in my case I will need about 100 people per block?

Thank you so much for your help!

Best, Nasrin

A pilot study is typically conducted among 10% of the envisaged total sample size. This is independent of the number of blocks.
