balanced incomplete block design

Postby Daria » Wed Nov 23, 2016 1:26 am

Hi !

I'm developing a DCE on adverse events of schizophrenia treatments. The topic is quite complex and we have identified more than 10 attributes to be included in the study. I suppose that it would be too many to allow trading-off especially for patients with mental problems. So, I thought that a balanced incomplete block design could be a solution and I was wondering if it's possible to generate such a design with Ngene?

Thanks for your help!

A design in which the levels of only a subset of attributes varies across the alternatives while the remaining ones are assumed to have the same level (and hence can be omitted from showing) is called a partial profile design in the literature. A BIBD can be used for the purpose. Ngene is unfortunately not capable of creating partial profile designs.
